AI-powered Dynamic Pricing works alongside existing revenue management and retailing systems, giving WestJet a progressive path to more intelligent offers.

  • WestJet and Accelya are expanding their partnership to test AI-powered Dynamic Pricing through Accelya’s FLX ONE platform.
  • FLX ONE Dynamic Pricing analyzes airline, market and flight-performance signals to identify where prices may need to change.
  • WestJet stays in control: the airline defines the pricing parameters and guardrails within which FLX ONE operates. The technology adds further context to the recommendations while still respecting defined boundaries, working alongside WestJet’s existing systems, ultimately ensuring pricing and commercial policy decisions remain with WestJet.

WestJet and Accelya, a leading global software provider to the airline industry, today announced an expansion of their partnership to test AI-powered Dynamic Pricing capabilities through Accelya’s FLX ONE platform.

WestJet began testing the capability in August 2026 and plans to expand testing progressively across its network, in line with its broader retailing roadmap. The initiative builds on the broader retailing partnership announced in 2024, with NDC capabilities also planned as part of WestJet’s roadmap.

Bringing greater intelligence into airline pricing

Demand and flight performance can change quickly. FLX ONE Dynamic Pricing analyzes airline, market and flight-performance signals to recommend when prices should change, within parameters defined by the airline.

FLX ONE Dynamic Pricing uses AI and real-time analytics to generate pricing recommendations from these signals. It works alongside existing revenue management and retailing systems to increase context to further refine pricing strategies, without requiring airlines to replace existing technology or undertake a large-scale transformation program. FLX ONE Dynamic Pricing does not use personally identifiable information to generate its recommendations. Its analysis is based on airline, market and flight-performance signals, while WestJet retains control of all pricing decisions.

FLX ONE Dynamic Pricing forms part of Accelya’s broader intelligent Offer Management proposition, applying AI to one of the most important components of the offer: price.

Throughout testing, WestJet defines the pricing parameters and guardrails within which the capability operates. FLX ONE generates recommendations within those boundaries, while pricing decisions and commercial policies remain with WestJet.

John Weatherill, CCO at WestJet, said:

“Our partnership with Accelya gives us the opportunity to continue to explore how dynamic pricing can support our broader retailing strategy. We’re taking a progressive approach, evaluating new capabilities alongside our existing systems while maintaining control over our pricing decisions and commercial policies.”

Sam Gilliland, Chief Executive Officer at Accelya, said:

“Airlines have an opportunity to use advanced technology to make pricing respond more precisely to what is actually happening across their network. Demand changes, flights perform differently and market conditions move. Pricing needs to keep up.

“FLX ONE uses AI and real-time airline, market and flight-performance signals to recommend when prices may need to change. It works alongside the revenue management and retailing systems airlines already use and, as always with Accelya, the airline sets the parameters and defines the rules within which the technology operates.

“We’re proud to be working with WestJet as it puts this approach into practice, progressively testing Dynamic Pricing across its network while keeping its existing systems and pricing controls in place.”
