Wizz Air selects Accelya’s FLX ONE Order Accounting to strengthen financial control and support retail growth

Istanbul, IATA WPS – 05 November 2025

Part of Accelya’s open and modular FLX ONE platform, FLX ONE Order Accounting gives Wizz Air greater precision and visibility across every transaction – enabling one of Europe’s fastest-growing ultra-low-cost carriers to simplify its accounting and support its retail growth.

Accelya, a global leader in airline financial and retailing technology, today announced that Wizz Air has selected FLX ONE Order Accounting to modernize its finance operations and support its continued growth. The new solution will help Wizz Air manage accounting complexity as it expands and introduces new products and services.

As Wizz Air grows and will look to double its fleet and the number of its employees in the next decade, its commercial operations and transaction volumes are increasing rapidly. FLX ONE Order Accounting provides real-time visibility and automation across the airline’s accounting processes. This allows Wizz Air to recognize revenue accurately, reduce manual work, and maintain full financial control as it scales.

“To further accelerate our growth, we need finance systems that move as fast as our business,” said Michael Berlouis, Wizz Air’s Financial Operations Officer. “Accelya’s FLX ONE Order Accounting gives us the confidence and visibility to account for new products and revenue streams accurately, stay in control as we grow, and keep our focus on delivering value for our customers.”

Part of Accelya’s open, cloud-based FLX ONE platform, the solution integrates easily with existing systems, enabling finance and commercial teams to operate from the same data foundation. It captures and reconciles every transaction automatically, providing finance teams with the transparency and accuracy needed to support Wizz Air’s agile, retail-driven model.

By moving towards an order-based approach, Wizz Air is building the financial capabilities needed for IATA’s Offers and Orders vision – with automated reconciliation, faster settlement, and clear, real-time cash visibility.

  • Faster cash flow – automation speeds up reconciliation and settlement across all markets.
  • Easier to scale – finance systems grow with the business, reducing manual work and complexity.
  • Accurate and consistent – standard rules ensure every transaction is recorded the same way.
  • Ready for new products – easily supports new offers, bundles, and retailing models as they launch.

“Wizz Air continues to grow at pace and lead in modern retailing. Their approach shows how finance can be a driver of innovation, not just control – simplifying reconciliation, removing barriers, and helping teams make faster, more confident decisions that support retail growth,” said Sam Gilliland, Chief Executive Officer, Accelya

This announcement reinforces Accelya’s role as a trusted partner to leading airlines in modernizing financial operations and supporting the industry’s transition to Offers and Orders.
