‘Audit Services’ are Accelya’s market-leading capabilities within its ‘Order Assurance’ Solution
Barcelona, September 24, 2020
Accelya, a leading provider of financial, commercial, cargo and analytics solutions for airlines, today announced that Southwest Airlines, one of the world’s largest low-cost carriers based in the United States, has successfully implemented integrated audit services in a managed services engagement.
As Southwest expands its distribution and content within Travelport and Amadeus’ global distribution systems (GDSs), it will partner with Accelya’s BIDT Audit service to design and monitor an effective booking policy. This is further complemented by Accelya’s comprehensive Sales Audit service that identifies recoverable revenue, raises accurate debit memos, reduces agency disputes, and prevents revenue loss.
Dave Harvey, Vice President of Southwest Business, said, “Delivering on our GDS strategy with industry-standard processes and expanding our booking and distribution network necessitated increased governance. Accelya’s comprehensive product capabilities, depth of knowledge and broad experience has proven beneficial in establishing our new business capability for Southwest. We are confident of controlling our GDS ticketing costs, improving commercial policies, and maintaining revenue integrity and we look forward to working together to improve the overall experience for our business travellers.
Artur Farinha, Senior Vice President – Revenue Assurance, Accelya, said, “We are delighted to partner with Southwest at a time when they are transforming their distribution landscape. There is added benefit in auditing the entire booking-to-ticketing lifecycle. We believe that our services will result in a strict control over Southwest Airlines’ booking and ticketing costs; and deliver financial recovery benefits during these crucial times.”
