Barcelona, December 31, 2019

Accelya, the leading provider of financial, commercial, cargo and analytics solutions for airlines today announced that Qantas Airways, recognized as the world’s leading long-distance airline and one of the strongest brands in Australia, has successfully gone live on Version 20 of Accelya’s Revenue Accounting Solution. Accelya is now processing revenue accounting transactions for Qantas in a collaborative services engagement.

Accelya recently launched the new Version 20 of its Revenue Accounting Solution that is already used by many of its 90 + customers, and Qantas is the latest addition to this list.

Kevin Brady, Head of Finance, International Operations at Qantas Airways said, “We are happy to partner with Accelya to manage our revenue accounting process. Version 20 of their solution is all that we were looking for in a revenue accounting solution. It is modern, accurate, automated, compliant with all financial and industry requirements, and offers easy access to fully detailed and auditable reports. With Accelya experts managing our transactions, we are in safe hands. We are confident of controlling our revenue leakage and cost as a result of this partnership.” He also stated, “I congratulate both Qantas and Accelya teams for achieving the implementation milestones on time, on budget and with the agility that addressed all the challenges along the way. The entire project was planned and executed with precision and seamless communication between the two teams.”

Philip Fernandes, SVP and Business Head – Revenue Accounting Solutions, Accelya Group, said, “I welcome Qantas into our family of customers. I am delighted that both Accelya and Qantas teams worked so well together in achieving a complex solution, on time and within budget. It was a multi-year engagement which involved lift and shift of processes on Qantas’ existing platform to Accelya’s managed services center, at the same time migrating their platform to Accelya’s Revenue Accounting Solution. Our platform and services combine together to provide the best-in-class solution that will help Qantas save cost, control leakages, and deliver valuable insights to their management for decision making”.

Philip further added, “Our primary focus now is to work with Qantas in their journey towards being a more modern retailer via NDC and ONE Order initiatives.
