(04/27/09) KUONI introduces e-invoicing for 235 independent agencies
KUONI introduces e-invoicing for 235 independent agencies,
saving time, paper and energy.
27th April 2009: In recent days, Kuoni has set up a new system for e-invoicing its customers in partnership with Accelya - a major player in e-invoicing and specialist in paperless flows for over 30 years. Kuoni now sends its electronic invoices (signed PDFs) to 235 independent travel agencies, thereby saving time, paper and energy. E-invoicing produces a legally binding and VAT-compliant electronic document recognised by the tax authorities, allowing companies to create a fully paperless environment. The travel agency keeps the signed PDF invoices on an electronic storage medium without any obligation to print them.
As part of its commitment to protect the environment, Kuoni France has chosen to roll out an e-invoicing system and is currently working in partnership with 235 agencies who have adopted the new system.
Instead of paper invoices, agencies now receive their invoices in PDF format complete with an electronic signature in compliance with applicable legislation and tax regulations.
There are many considerable advantages with e-invoicing, equating to superior productivity, reduced timeframes and minimised invoice processing costs:
. The customer invoice delivery process is automated and offers greater reliability, avoiding numerous disputes,
. Timeframes for receiving invoices and closing the accounts are shorter,
. Costs are also reduced, as there is no need to physically archive paper invoices.
Convinced by the time, paper and energy savings inherent in e-invoicing, Kuoni has its sights on extending its e-invoicing system to encompass other customers in its network of partner agencies.
