(09/29/05) Accelya: interoperable e-invoicing platform Clear' Invoice

Accelya, as a leading supplier of outsourced services in data transfer, launched in 2005 an electronic invoicing platform named Clear' Invoice.
The Clear' Invoice platform offers, among other numerous functions, an actual interoperability in XML with other major e-invoicing solutions of the European market.

Accelya is a major player in EDI, Electronic Data Interchange. The structure thus processes millions of messages for customers from various sectors: car rental companies, booking industry, logistics, industry, etc.

Additional activities such as exchange of accountancy data, electronic invoicing, electronic management of international settlements, operating of solutions in secured environments, have enabled the company to launch in 2005 Clear' Invoice, an outsourced e-invoicing service.

Designed as an actual extension of the previous EDI platforms, the Clear' Invoice solution benefits from the large experience of Accelya in an EDI platform created in 1997 and operated since then with their customers of car rental companies: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and National Citer in France. At that time, the platform had already been developed with the objective of e-invoicing and EIPP (Electronic Invoicing Presentment and Payment).

During the year 2005, the EDI platform of car rental companies has transmitted more than one million electronic invoices. Clear' Invoice currently interconnects the five car rental companies to more than one hundred customers. The solution works through a system of single entry point, and accept every type of format for invoice dispatch or receipt.

The Clear' Invoice platform is fully operational since spring 2005. It allows you to process all invoices coming from suppliers or sent to customers, and to comply with the requirements of the Tax Authorities. It has been audited and testified by an independant legal fiscal office.

Clear' Invoice processes all types of structured invoice messages (EDI, XML) or not structured (PDF, image, flat file, etc.) to benefit from the numerous advantages of e-invoicing with all your commercial partners. Through the solution, data of paper documents can also be captured in order to propose a comprehensive processing of invoicing flows and to improve the performance of accounting operations.

For the exchange of invoices between AVIS Car Rental, European leading car rental company, and some of their major French accounts, Accelya has made the Clear' Invoice platform interoperable in XML with another European player.
