(07/05/06) Signing of an Eight-year Agreement with IATA

Accelya announces the signing of an eight-year agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to process the settlement data between Airlines and Travel Agents in various countries around the world. The agreement also covers the distribution of the worldwide settlement data under the IATA Billing & Settlement Plan.

Accelya will provide data processing services to 97 countries from a single centre located in Madrid, Spain. This centre will also provide financial, accounting and commercial information to more than 55.000 Travel Agencies and 5.700 Airline locations around the world.

Air transport is one of the most dynamic industries in the world, and Accelya has been providing services to this industry since 1976, when it signed its first agreement with IATA in Belgium.

The new agreement makes Accelya the major supplier of settlement services for the Airline industry.

"This eight-year agreement represents the most significant contract signed by Accelya since its foundation, major in terms of volume and in terms of contract length. It will certainly strengthen Accelya's position in the industry" says Francisco Mora, Accelya Director worldwide.
